Give Thanks - 5 Things To Be Grateful For

My family has a saying, “Ain’t nothing so bad it couldn’t be worse.” There is always something to be thankful for. With Thanksgiving just around the corner, it’s a great time to take a moment to appreciate all the things we have. Even if your life is a struggle right now, here are five things to be grateful for.

1. Family and Friends

When asked what they’re grateful for, most people will answer family and friends. They are the most important things in your life and the only true thing that makes life worth living. I know my family keeps me going.

2. Health

Even if your health isn’t the best, there are probably a few aspects that you can be grateful for. If you’re reading this, you’re still alive so thank your body for doing its best.

3. Clean Drinking Water

Here in the US, we take this for granted. There are a lot of places in the world where clean drinking water is in short supply. Life would be miserable without it. Just ask the people in south Florida after Ian, or Jackson, Mississippi after flooding, or Flint Michigan after years of contamination.

4. Hot Shower

This is a personal favorite of mine. I love a long hot shower especially on a cold day. One of the simple pleasures in life.

5. Good Food

Turkey, stuffing, pies and at least 3 types of potatoes - our Thanksgiving meal is full of goodies. And for most of us, delicious food is available any hour of the day. Enjoy and appreciate.
