As I stood in my steamy shower this morning, enjoying the hot, soothing water, I couldn’t help but think about the thousands of people suffering down in Texas. A hot shower has always been one of my simple pleasures, but it took on new meaning today.
There are so many things we take for granted – running water, electricity, abundant food. All these basic things have been in short supply for Texans this week.
When was the last time you took stock of all the wonderful things you have in life? My family has a saying, “Ain’t nothing so bad it couldn’t be worse”. Even if you’re facing struggles, there’s almost always something to be thankful for.
